Can I charge my Lumix FP5 camera with the UBS cord from the computer?

Cynthia Rembert asks:

I lost the charger for my Lumix FP5 camera. Can it be charged with the UBS cable plugged into the computor?

I don’t think you can. I also have a Lumix camera (not the same model) and it will not charge via USB. You have to take out the battery and charge it on the appropriate charger.

how do i know if my panasonic lumix dmc-ls70 camera has been charged and it is not working when i try to turn it on even though i charge it with a suitable adapter and it has a rechargeable batteries? please i need an answer to my question. . . .
