How do I change the background to the login screen in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?

Hello. I’m trying to find out how to change the background to the login screen of my Dell Studio 1558 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Unfortunately I haven’t had that much success in doing so, after reading a tutorial online that told me to change the value in some registry files, and rename some files in the System 32 directory. While I specifically adhered to those instructions perfectly, it still did not change the background to the login screen as planned. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

There are a few tutorilas that work very well but without you being more specific and telling us what you did or which tutorial you followed there is little advice I can offer.

I used to have the same problem, but I now use Logon Screen Tweaker! It's the best of many I've tried: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Logon-Screen-Tweaker.shtml

Since you don't say exactly what changes you made to your computer, it's difficult to help you troubleshoot, but here's a link to an article on how to do it. Compare it to the instructions you followed and see if there are any differences:
