I want to watch movies that I have stored on my Seagate External 2TB drive on my Panasonic Viera TV Model TH-L42ET60A. There are movies of various file types on the drive, but when I go to the app menu on my TV it says there are no supported file types available. How can I fix this?

Thank you.

    check this manual
    http://www.panasonic.com/au/consumer/tvs-projectors/led-lcd-tvs/th-l42et60a.html
USB Flash memory Fat16, Fat32 or exfat
USB HDDs Formatted on a PC are not guaranteed to work in media player
the capacity of USB HDD that works with this TVis from 160GB to 3TB
for all supported video format check the manual page 111-114

How is the drive formatted? I'm not sure if 2TB is supported by the TV, so you may try to partition the drive to 500GB to 1TB in FAT 32 (not EX-FAT).There are many free tools that can format the drive if Windows 8 does not give you the option to format in FAT 32.
