Why can’t my Nokia 2700 play MP3 files that used to play before?

Why are some mp3 files not supported in my mobile phone?
I have a Nokia 2700 classic phone on which I listen to music. Recently, some of the MP3 files in the phone cannot be played, and they show the error message ‘format not supported’. The icon of such files are shown as unrecognized. These are the files I used to play before on my phone. I tried deleting the files and re-downloading them thinking that the files might have gone corrupted, but this did not work. Can anyone help me with the issue?

it can play mp3 and AAC

you can try to remove the battery for a while to reinitialize
    or try to hard reset
Press menu button or enter Menu-Settings-Phone-Phone management-Factory settings-Delete data and restore-YES

in any case do backup the files before
