My All-In-One Canon MP620 prints and copies, but wont scan. When I press start scanning, it displays “preparing …” and after that it asks again to press “start scanning”. I’ve not had this problem before, it has been working just fine for the past two years. Also, the ink cartridges are not empty. I’m using a Mac.

try to remove the printer from control panel and then remove the cable from your machine, and then put it back and let the system recognize it from the beginning. I think there’s a driver problem.
have you tried to reinstall the driver?
