I am telling you some tips/tricks which are most commonly used :-

    (1) If you want a particular phrase in an particular order only you can use double quotes, for example - "how to use google" - this will only show results which include this phrase in this order only.

    (2) If you want results on some type of file only then you can use- filetype: for example search- how to use google filetype:pdf - this will show results only on pdf files.

    (3) If you want to search only a particular website then you can use the keyword site: for example- how to use google site:makeuseof.com - this will show results only from that particular website.

    (4) If you want definition of some word then you can use the word define, for example- lotus define - this will show you the definition if lotus.

There are many other tips/tricks but these are the most useful one.

You can learn many more tricks on this website by Google itself. http://www.powersearchingwithgoogle.com/

    Thank You

Well, you can use DuckDuckGo instead of Google, as it has quite a great user-experience.
