I have installed XBMC on my main computer. I can access the library from my iPads and iPhones stupidly easy using AcePlayer.
Is there a software with a beautiful interface that can stream the TV Shows and the movies from my main computer to a Windows 7 laptop?
I have tried VLC and although it works, it`s not beautiful. It just gets the job done. Plex gave me a headache and didn`t work. I know there is something out there, but my google-fu is not strong this month!

install XBMC on both devices. Then set the source to SHARE LIBRARY via UPnP, go in to XBMC you can then add a network location, find the laptop and the folder you shared.
desktop and laptop are on the same local network, all you need to do is to share the video folder from your desktop pc (folder properties->share), then open windows explorer on your laptop, find your shared folder in your network, and launch the video file as if you were on the desktop.
