I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (Wi-Fi, Android version 4.1.2) and last night I rooted my tab using the cwm method then unrooted my tab with the supersu option and now I am having a problem when I try to update the tablet software version.

A notification appears on my screen that “the device has been modified, software updates are not available” but I want to get rid of this and update anyway. Please help!

If you are using a U.S. version of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, you can use the manual update method mentioned here: http://androidromupdate.com/2013/12/15/install-4-2-2-p3113ueucmk3-u-s-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-7-0-wifi-p3113-update/. Essentially, you would be flashing an official stock firmware to your device through Odin, and your device would be placed into download mode for this to work. If your tablet is not a U.S. version, there should be other versions that would be available, but we would need more information on the region of your device and/or full tablet model number.
