How can I make Windows Explorer show descriptions of executables?

How can I make Windows Explorer list the Description of applications (.exe’s) in the description column like you can list with an Artist’s name or a song’s title, a file’s modification date, a shortcut’s comment?

Description isn’t populated for applications (exe’s) in Windows Explorer like Artist isn’t populated for .m4a, where AudioShell is a workaround.

Any workaround?

As Bruce says, you need to enable "File Description" (right click on the column heading, choose "more" and tick "File Description"). However, don't raise your expectations too much. Many executables have "descrtiptions" such as their name or "Installer for X" which you would know without looking at the description.

You are looking at the wrong category. You want 'File description' instead of 'Description.'
