Can I change my Evernote email address?

Polly Knowles asks:

MakeUseOf shared some great ideas on using Evernote email but I am wondering if you know how to change the email address that Evernote assigned.

The one I have is long and random. Any ideas?

You can’t choose your own email address whether you are a free or premium user. But evernote can generate a new one automatically.

Premium members can contact support and have it shortened to just [username]@m.evernote.com

Yes it is possible to change your assigned email address. But you can’t do it yourself. It has to be done on Evernotes end. Your going to have to contact their support to do it and they will have to do it for you. And I believe you need to be a premium user to do so.

If you are a free user, go into Evernote Web and click the down arrow near your name in the top right corner.

Choose settings and you will be able to reset the E-mail address but unfortunately not shorten it.

To be clear, you can’t change it yourself, free or Premium.

To shorten it requires two things 1) a support ticket and 2) a Premium account.

You can only shorten your email address to what your current username is.

If you want something entirely different, you’ll have to change your username which can also be done for Premium members.

Hope this helps!

Your Evernote email is randomly generated to protect you from spam. If you ever want to change it to another random address, click “Reset incoming email” in the Setting section of Evernote Web (https://www.evernote.com/Login.action)
