I have a Toshiba laptop with VGA and I want to connect it to my Toshiba LED TV with HDMI. How can I do this?

Just to clarify the point Rajaa was making. A VGA to HDMI will work, but will not transfer the audio from the laptop to the TV. You'll need to either play the sound through the laptop or connect it through a separate audio lead.

Also when you buy such an adaptor, be careful to check the resolution it supports and will the resolution available in the adapter is the one matching your TV and computer.

Also I found an article of how to set it up : http://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/computers/tips-solutions/how-connect-pc-hdmi-tv

Lot od people may suggest you a VGA to HDMI cable, but believe me that will not work. What you will need is a VGA and Audio to a HDMI convertor, something like this or similar. I am giving you the link to get the idea, but find a good one, they are usually a bit costlier.
