Can anyone suggest any cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin or Litecoin?

I want to mine Litecoins, but there are some pools that mine alt-coins based on profitability. I know that Litecoin has the greatest value other than Bitcoin , but then Litecoin’s difficulty is much larger than other alt-coins.

So can anyone suggest , what should I mine?

Type your hashing power into http://coinwarz.com, you'll find the most profitable coin. Or, like you said, just mine at a profit-switching pool like http://middlecoin.com or http://hashco.ws

I believe it doesn't matter which one you mine. Question is why you actually want to mine and did you calculate the profitability for your hardware setup?

I haven't kept up with what the chance of getting 1 coin (whichever) is and what that coin would be worth these days.

However, about 3 years ago it took a system optimized for mining about 1 year (24/7) just to break even with hardware and electricity costs. And that calculation doesn't factor in the the fact that faster mining machines will hit the network in between lowering your return rate for mining.

I would say that pretty much any side//freelance job or incomewill give you more revenue in a month than mining does in a year or two.

I think these days it's mostly a high risk investment for people with enough money to buy them. Nothing you should expect to make money from and be aware of the risk of losing everything if the market crashes, your hard drive dies and you don't have a backup of your wallet and such things.
