How do I bypass the sysprep error in Windows 7 when migrating to new hardware?

After few seconds after posting, I am getting an error message from System Preparation Tool 3.14:

“a fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine”

Any suggestions, please?

    This can happen following a few scenarios:

    1. the machine has been sysprepped several times already (see http://mickitblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/fatal-error-occurred-while-trying-to.html)
    2. rearm process fails (as per Hovsep A's link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929828)

    An error message occurs when you run "Sysprep /generalize" in Windows Vista or Windows 7: "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprep the machine"
