Is there any way to make a backup after a system crash?

Suman Acharya asks:

Just curious if it is possible to copy or keep our data safe after a system crash – assuming i don’t have any backup files, no system image, no restore points, nothing. Before I repair Windows I want all my data on the hard drive safe!

If you have a LiveCD of any Linux distro and a destination for your saved data (external HDD, second internal drive, etc), you can use that to back up everything you want (or have room for). You can also use various tools on Hiren’s Boot CD to do the same thing.

The other way is to actually remove your hard drive physically from the PC and put it in another or use a USB dock for SATA and backup all the data you wish from it onto that other PC.

Yes there is, what you need is bootable linux system. Go here and download this software UNetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/) it will help you to make a bootable usb and then when you boot into linux you can copy anything that you want from your HD.

Hello, I may list you a bunch of applications never tested from a quick google search; I did not do that; I just give you the name of one application I tried and among many others really worked!
It is: Easus Data Recovery Wizard professional: http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/ full for thefirst 15 days.
PLug an external hard disk enclosure; run that application by simply followign the wizard and transfer the files on your pc! That’s all.
I tried many other one and no one worked well like that!
Let me know if you sicceed; contact me if not: @cypherinfo
