How can I back up my Hotmail emails?

I have some email accounts that use Hotmail with a custom domain (account@domain.com). I would like to easily backup all the emails to .eml files if possible. I like GMail Backup and a similar program for Hotmail would be great. I’d prefer to not configure multiple accounts with POP or IMAP if possible.

I followed the directions you gave, but I searched on my hard drive, but have no idea where I can find it.

    Hi

    1. Click on this link (http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mail?os=other) to download and install the free Windows Live Mail software.

    2. Open the program and type in your account name (such as marc@hotmail.com or marc@live.com) and your password. Windows Live Mail will do the rest to find your account info and begin downloading messages.

    3. Wait a few seconds and all your Hotmail messages will be downloaded into its specific folders, such as Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, and so on. Now they’re on your hard drive – rather than on a website – so you’ll be able to archive your messages onto a recordable disc or external drive.

    MailStore Home
    http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstore-home.aspx

1.Download and install MailStore Home. Open MailStore Home and click Archive email.
2.Choose POP3 Mailbox, and enter your email address, the 'Host' (pop3.live.com), and your password. Set the 'Access via' drop-down menu to POP 3-SSL and click Next.
3.On the next screen, you can choose how to archive, namely whether to delete your messages from the host server once the program has downloaded them. The default setting is that messages are never deleted, and you should leave it that way (after all, you're backing up your mail, not moving it). You don't need to change anything here, so click through and start backing your mailbox up

    or
Windows Live Hotmail account into Mozilla Thunderbird

    then

I'm using the current version of Thunderbird, and it will only download my Inbox files from Hotmail
