How can I backup my Google Chrome bookmarks using Automator?

rimanere asks:

My bookmark file is constantly changing, So I tried to backup my Google Chrome bookmarks on my Mac manually by going to Bookmarks Manager and then Organize and Export Bookmarks. I tried to automate this process using Automator by recording some of the steps, but it didn’t work.

I know you can sync your bookmarks to your Google account, but I will rather back my bookmarks to a file on my external hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks.
