Can I automatically forward text messages to my email account?

ender asks:

I have an old cell phone without Android or another smartphone OS. I can make calls and send and receive text messages via SMS. I would prefer to reply to SMS via the Internet using email. Is there a way to automatically forward SMS messages to my email account so I can reply to them? Thanks.

I have read through it, but cannot figure out, how to create what I
intended to do: each time I receive a sms from a specific number, this
SMS shall be forwarded to gmail. I have write the ifttt team. hopefully I
am wrong, and there is a way.
    thank you.

some phones allow you to forward messages, if your phone can do that then have it forward to your email, look in your text settings

Well in this case possible that the feature you would like is not supported by the phone. Unless you read the manual and you find some suggestions. Or if you can install android on the phone but this can be difficult if the chipset do not support that. Or syncing the phone to windows desktop?
