How can I auto-edit ID V3 tags for mp3 files to add lyrics to songs?

I’ve got thousands of MP3 files. I would like to put the lyrics for all the songs in their respective ID V3 tags, so that I can see the lyrics when I’m listening to those songs on my iPod.

I know I can do it manually for each song, but it’s just tiresome. Is there a software or web service available which can take care of this task?

    Hi Elisha .

i would recommend you to try this excellent piece of software - Mini Lyrics . http://www.crintsoft.com/

its cross platform and multi player compatible .

the moment you play a song in your Media Player , the software will automatically download the exact lyrics for the song , SYNC them perfectly and then display it smoothly on the screen . exact lip sync with the singers voice , word to word !

and then it would embed/add the lyrics inside the song , so you can enjoy the lyrics everytime you play the song , on any player , and irrespective of if you are connected to the net or not !

here are the simple instructions of how to get it to work on iPod - http://www.crintsoft.com/help-iPod-Lyrics-Downloader.htm

what Media Monkey doesn't do is load lyrics for all the songs into their respective ID V3 tags.
