“Download audio books online and listen on your iPod, iPhone or MP3
player. Get unlimited audiobooks by best-selling authors for one low
    monthly fee”
    this is what audiobook.com says.

This review/comaprision also says that you can download the books.

Now, even if it only streams it,
if your cellphone can stream audiobooks from the site, you can connect your phone to the sound system of your car, and listen to it.

Hello, I am under the impression that audiobooks.com provides streaming audio books.  If you can somehow save those files in your flashdrive as mp3, you can listen to them in your car.
