Is it possible to attach an external USB DVD drive to a HTC Wildfire mobile?

This will make it easy to load programs directly from the DVD drive disk instead of loading the programs on PC and then transferring to mobile.

It will be difficult to transfer from PC to mobile.

Any suggestions and help.

3G connectivity or WiFi, these must be sufficient for any connectivity requirements. Its the time of cloud computing and every brand now has its own marketplace for applications. As Tim brooks said... how old is your computer. Use PC suite, cables or WiFi. I think you must try marketplace for application. You dont even need any computer to install programs.
Also you usually don't find application for mobile in any DVD compilation nowadays, like it was before.

I don't know particularly in India, but these services are worldwide. Hotmail has skydrive and document reader/editor, amazon has a cloud drive to store files.
Google docs are great. And there are many web apps to edit pics and audio and stuffs. Better google them.
        Have a nice day!!

    Hi,

After having a scour of the web it seems that this is not possible with the Wildfire, or seemingly any phone that's on the market at the moment.

What issues are you having transferring between PC and phone? What operating system do you use? And how old is the PC in question?

The only software I can find for your device is listed at HTC's homepage here. It's the basic PC suite that allows you to transfer media and third party applications to your phone, and it probably also installs the driver you need to do so.

If you've not tried HTC's software yet then I'd recommend giving it a go, if you're experiencing issues then reply here with your setup and the errors.

You could also try HTC's email support.
