Why aren’t Arabic or armenian fonts showing in the Microsoft Word font drop-down menu on my Mac?

When I change my language in the input menu, I am able to write in these languages on Safari or Spotlight. However, for some reason, on Microsoft Word or text edit, the fonts for these languages are not there, even though I’ve installed, validated and activated them.

Office for Mac does not support right-to-left languages like Arabic.

As for Text Edit it should be possible... I suggest to open up Font Book and make sure the necessary Fonts are installed and and don't show any error.

Other then that I suggest to try out Mellel which is suggestion all around the web for Arabic word processing. http://www.mellel.com/
