October 24, 2012Never. Android and Symbian are separated operating systems.

October 24, 2012By Symbian 40 do you mean Nokia’s Series40 OS..? If yes , unfortunately there isn’t a way by which you can run Android apps on S40 devices.
However they can be ported to S40.
If you are a developer you may want to see this : http://www.developer.nokia.com/Resources/Library/Porting_to_Series_40/#!porting-from-android-to-series-40.html
Otherwise,You may have to request the developer (of the app which you wanna run on S40) to port the app if possible.
Yes Nokia s40 series

October 24, 2012First of all nitdroid project is for Maemo OS, Meego OS based or Nokia’s old tablet OS based phones it was Nokia N9 not the N8 where they installed android, other compatible devices are N900 and N950 and the models which they (nitdroid) refer as N8xx are the Nokia N800 and Nokia N810.3
Second andoid can’t be flashed on symbian OS devices.

October 24, 2012If there is someone that make the ROM, then it is possible, but i think it is not interesting to make it, since the hardware itself is not so good.
yeah that’s one of the limiting factor
October 25, 2012and don’t forget, even the market share of symbian is very less

October 25, 2012You cannot, unless the application is developed for cross platforms.. or else, you cannot run them!

October 25, 2012of course not. Symbian is dead already since Nokia dropped it for the shitty interfaced Windows Phone. and since Symbian is not an Open Source OS, no wonder it’s dead.

October 25, 2012Is there an android simulator for s40 series
Only phones with reachable BIOS (access to the bootloader) are possible to boot other systems, you would need to modify the input APIs, mostly everything with graphics and input.

October 25, 2012not at the moment
if in future they will make a emulator or something like that, then it will be a diff. scenario
but even chances of this type of emulator being coded, is almost equal to zero

October 25, 2012I’m sorry, no. Better get a cheap Android phone like the Samsung Galaxy Y for $100 to get familiar with the ecosystem. Then, move up to something in the $300 range of unlocked phones like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Then, if you feel that you need something more, go for the Samsung Galaxy Note II for the screen size and battery life, the Motorola RAZR Maxx HD for the battery life, HTC One X for the build quality, a Sony XPERIA for the camera and desgin, or the Samsung Galaxy S III for the overall compatibility of custom ROMs (since its the most successful high-end Android phone, it will have the best support from indie-developers).

October 25, 2012No, never. Forget about it.
