Why am I getting an Ad-Block plugin message on my Android browser?

Sushil Kathpalia asks:

Most of the time I am getting ad-block enabled message while visiting the makeuseof.com on Opera mini 7 in Android mobile?
One more thing is that I open PC version of makeuseof on opera mini.

Does Opera block ads by default? Are SEEING the ads? If not, then somethign is blocking them, and the message will appear.

Opera may have a setting to block ads, or you may have installed the android version of adblock, either accidentally or otherwise.

I was also getting Ad-Block warnings in Opera and Firefox in Android – but that’s because I have the Ad-Away application installed, which pretty much does the same thing as Ad-Block.

Ad-Away , on Android unfortunately, is a required application because Android doesn’t place too many restrictions on how often ads can draw upon the phone’s resources. Oftentimes poorly written apps will basically co-opt the phone, draining the battery and slowing it down.

On the downside, it interferes with websites, such as MakeUseOf.com.

Do you have Ad-block or Ad-Away on your phone? Either of those could be what’s causing it. It could also be an ad on Opera.
