How can I access the source code for my website and create a page to confirm my ownership with Google AdSense?

Domain ownership: To complete our review, we need to confirm your
ownership of the site that you’ve submitted. Please follow the steps
below:
– Access the source code of your website.
– Create a separate page on the site and paste “This post confirms my
ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense
programme policies and Terms and Conditions: ca-pub-1208220570588288”
– Resubmit the application as described below after replacing the
current URL in the ‘Website URL’ field with the URL of the page where
you have pasted the snippet.

    Perhaps I'm missing something here, but can't you just make a new blog post, paste that text in, and submit that as the proof URL? I think that's all they want you to do, you know. You can delete the post afterwards.

    Hi Rishi,

    Open up any text editor and create a text file with the text they want you to have. Save that file as "owner.txt". Then upload this file to the root of your website and reapply using the URLwebsite.com/owner.txt

    Replace "website.com" with your website URL. This URL must point to this text file to prove you own the website.
