Why can I not access Facebook from my AOL browser?

Kathee Galvin asks:

When connected to the Internet through AOL we can no longer see our Facebook page.  This happened over the past week.  When on AOL we enter the sign in information which brings up a blank Facebook page.

This problem is happening on the main computer in my home not on the laptop I’m using while writing this question. I’m using AOL 9.7 on Windows XP Home. Any ideas?

Browser: AOL 9.7
System: Windows XP Home Edition 2002

This might be due to the fact that Facebook supports modern browsers(Latest) like Firefox,Google chrome and so might had phased out support for your browser.Try accessing the page using these modern browsers and see whether this issue gets resolved or not.

Another thing is that check whether any security software or firewall in your main computer is not blocking Facebook site.

Thanks but I already did all that. My 82 year old Dad only knows how to use AOL and is very limited. I guess we’ll have to get him updated somehow!!

Try using a more up to date browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or Safari. :)

Check your browser version by looking in the various File menus until you find “About”. Click on that and it will tell your current version.
