Can I use a 3G dongle to connect my tablet to the Internet?

kim asks:

I am thinking of buying a Sony tablet, but I don’t have wireless Internet. I do have a 3G dongle, but I’m not sue how this tablet would use that and/or connect to the Internet. Would my dongle work?

There can be issues connecting 3g dongle to a tablet, while some tablets and dongles can work without any problem.

If you have a dongle that you can’t use with your tablet,
you can use it via a laptop.

Or it can be done by inserting the USB dongle to a pocket Wi-Fi router(costs ~ $100),which runs on lithium ion batteries and converts those 3G signals to Wi-Fi when switched on.
