UD98 asks:
I tried to burn files to my USB flash drive and then the drive would not work. Windows said to format it, so I did. After the format it says it is a 1GB drive. What’s wrong?

July 21, 20121. Right-click on computer and select “Manage”
2. Select “Disk Management”
3. Right-click on your USB drive and select “Delete Volume”
4. Wait for volume to delete, then right-click on USB and select “New Simple Volume”
5. Follow the prompts and it will reformat the USB to your 16GB default.
1) Go to run and type cmd, right click on cmd and launch with administrative rights, then on the black screen typ: Chkdsk e: /r (e is the USB drive letter, change to to yours if it is not e)
2) Defrag USB Key

August 18, 2012A Chrome OS installation creates a variety of partitions – one of which is visible to a Windows (7) PC. If this is your situation, just plug your USB into a computer running Ubuntu (even a Live CD session will work) and run “Disk Utility.” This will show you some useful details and recovery options.
I messed up my pen drive by booting Chromium (Chrome OS) on it. But as mentioned above – You can simply use ‘Boot it’ and get your USB back to normal. No need to go for Ubuntu…
